Dasmunsi launches music album 'Ishq kiye ja'

New Delhi, May 22 (UNI) 'Ishq kiye Ja', a new music album by Rini Mukherjee, was launched by Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi here.

Speaking on the occasion yesterday, Mr Dasmunsi said the title of the album was enticing and in a lighter vein added love propels life by imparting rhythm to it. He wished the singer and the newly released album success.

Speaking to mediapersons, Mukherjee said, ''This album is a blend of Indian and Western numbers capturing a host of moods and the beauty of nature. The album does not target any particular generation but caters to all.'' She said the album has been focused in different pulses with the essence of Rajasthani folks, Sufiana notes and Punjabi beats and has mingled with the nature of Himachal.

The music of the album has been composed by Pandit Jwala Prasad, she added.

Mukherjee and her troupe enthralled the audience with the title track of the album along with a few other soul-stirring numbers, including Nazrulgeeti.

Also present on the occasion were West Bengal MLA Debaprasad Ray, Padambhushan Sitar Maestro Pandit Debu Chaudhuri, vice-president Tips Industries Limited Rajiv Sogani, Ustad Tanveer Ahmed Khan and Pandit Jwala Prasad, among others.
