Awareness campaign against child marriage in UP
Lucknow, May 22 (UNI) In a step to wipe out child marriages, Uttar Pradesh Rajya Mahila Ayog has organised an awareness campaign in eight districts of the state.
Giving this information, Rajya Mahila Ayog president Abha Agnihotri here today said the campaigns were being held with the assistance of Non-Government Organisations (NGOs) and district administrations.
The awareness campaign that started yesterday would mark an end on May 29 and aims to spread awareness against the early marriages.
The eight districts where the campaign is being orgainsed are Hardoi, Sonebhadra, Ghazipur, Mahoba, Saharanpur, Banda, Chitrakoot and Ballia.
