200 litre ID arrack, 3,000 litre fermented wash destroyed
Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, May 22 (UNI) Around 200 litre of ID arrack, 3,000 litre of fermented jaggery wash ready for distillation and equipment was destroyed in Peddanapalli Village in East Godavari District.
The joint operation by anti-arrack activists, including women and youth, and Prohibition and Excise Department officials took place yesterday.
Later, at a meeting held under the auspices of the village anti-arrack committee, Sarpanch K Ramanjaneyulu, along with the villagers, vowed to never touch liquor hereafter and develop the village as a model village free from arrack.
