Youth Cong workers urged to agitate against LDF govt
Thrissur, May 21 (UNI) Union Minister of Overseas Indian Affairs Vyalar Ravi today urged the Youth Congress workers to agitate against the Left Democratic Front (LDF) Government in Kerala for trying to topple the Centre's projects like the National Rural Employment Gurantee Programmes (NREGS).
Inaugurating a function, organised by the Thrissur District Youth Congress Committee here, in connection with the 17th death anniversary of the former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, he said ''agriculture is a state administered subject and the Centre has no role in it.'' He added the state govenment has no right to criticise the Centre on the issues like agriculture and food scarcity.
The state has miserably failed to procure agriculture produce from the farmers, he alleged.
