Three criminals escape police captivity; policemen suspended
Fatehpur, May 21 (UNI) Three hardcore criminals today escaped the police captivity in this district.
Kamal, Takhlim and Vishal, who were lodged in Fatehpur district jail, hoodwinked the police and ran away, while they were being produced to the court for hearing, police spokesperson said.
In 2003, the trio was sentenced to life imprisonment for raping and murdering two school girls. They were to be produced before the court here.
Police has sealed the district borders to nab the criminals.
However, the policemen have been suspended for laxity, Superintendent of Police Gyansingh said.
