Rajiv Gandhi's 17th death anniversary observed
Ranchi, May 21 (UNI) People across Jharkhand today observed the 17th death anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.
The Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee party leaders garlanded the portrait Rajiv Gandhi, who was assassinated by LTTE rebels on this day in 1991.
Addressing party workers on this occasion JPCC chief Pradeep Kumar Balmuchu said Mr Gandhi fought against terrorism and advocated for the Panchayati Raj system.
Series of programme were organised in various educational and social organisations on this day.
