PM to visit Pakistan this year
Islamabad, May 21 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will visit Pakistan this year, Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi announced here today.
Making the announcement at a joint press conference along with External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee after their talks here, Mr Qureshi said the atmosphere between the two countries now was very positive.
''The long overdue visit of the Prime Minister's visit to Pakistan would take place only this year,'' he said.
He, however, said the dates would be decided through diplomatic channels.
The Pakistan Foreign Minister also said he himself would be visiting New Delhi in June to carry forward the momentum in bilateral relations.
The India-Pakistan Joint Commission would meet in end July in Islamabad and the meeting for formally starting the fifth round of the CDP would be held in mid-July, he added.
