India,Germany sign Rs 1,998 cr agreements
New Delhi, May 21 (UNI) India and Germany today signed financial and technical agreements worth Rs 1,998 crore on the opening day of the two-day meeting of Indo-German annual consultation on development cooperation here.
The German assistance is for projects which were commited by the European country last year, said Finance Ministry.
The projects include one for socio-economic empowerment of tribals and poor people in 100 villages in Tripura.
Germany Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development Heidemarie Wieczorek-Zuel will be visiting India in October to commemorate 50 years of development partnership between the two nations. UNI SAA SR VC1826
