HM swears govt staff to anti-terror day

New Delhi, May 21 (UNI) A week after serial bomb blasts rocked tourist city of Jaipur, Home Minister Shivraj Patil today administerd oath to officers and staff of his ministry in the North Block lawns on the occasion of 'Anti-Terrorism Day' observed throughout the country.

Employees in government offices, public sector undertakings and other public institutions across the country took pledge against terrorism, the Ministry said in a statement.

The Day is aimed at weaning away youth from terrorism and cult of violence by highlighting sufferings of common people and showing how terror is against national interest, the statement added.
