Angry crowd pelts stones after man dies in road accident
Indore, May 21 (UNI) Angry crowd pelted stones and damaged several vehicles after a person was killed when a crane rammed into his motorcycle along an overbridge at the Indore-Ujjain road in this district today, police said.
After Dinesh died on the spot in the incident this morning, angry people staged a road blockade and pelted stones. The crowd demanded stopping the movement of heavy vehicles along the road that resulted in frequent accidents.
Senior police and administrative officials, however, convinced the people to lift the road blockade.
The crane driver was arrested.
Indore district Youth Congress spokesperson Rajesh Chokse expressed concern over the increase in road accidents along the route.
