300 interrogated in serial blasts; 51 Bangladeshis arrested
Jaipur, May 21 (UNI) Over 300 people have so far been interrogated by investigation agencies in connection with the May 13 serial blasts in the Pink City which left 66 people dead and over 210 injured.
Special Investigation Team(SIT) of the Rajasthan Police, accompanied by central agencies like CBI, NSG, army experts and experts from West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Punjab, was conducting investigation in the blasts, Government Spokesman and PWD Minister Rajendra Singh Rathore said.
Mr Rathore told mediapersons that no breakthrough had so far been made but the investigation was going on smoothly.
He said 51 Bangladeshis have been arrested during a statewide campaign launched to identify illegal immigrants and Bangladeshis with criminal background.
While, 5 Bangladeshis have been arrested under the Foreigners Act, remaining 46 have been nabbed under section 109 of the Indian Penal Code(IPC).
