3 Gujarat engineers among 5 killed in road accident
Sonebhadra, May 21 (UNI) At least five passengers, including three engineers from Gujarat and two Hindustan Aluminium Company (Hindalco) employees, were killed after a bus carrying them fell into a gorge in Pipri area here last night, police said today.
The accident occurred near Hathvani, where the bus, en route from Mirzapur to Renukoot, slipped into the gorge due to thunderstorm.
Altogether nine people, including a team of Birla Copper Unit Dahej, Gujarat, were travelling in the bus, police added.
The deceased include three engineers from Gujarat -- Gopal Singh, Ritesh Majoomdar and Bharesh Kumar -- and two Hindalco workers-Doodnath Yadav and Ajay.
Four others were injured in the accident and had been admitted to hospital.
