Two naxals killed in encounter in AP village
Warangal, May 20 (UNI) Two naxalites of the Praja Prathighatana group were killed in an encounter with police in Kodisala forest area in this distict early today.
According to police, about 16 naxalites were spotted by the police party during routine combing operations. When the police asked them to surrender, the naxals opened fire on them.
Police returned the fire killing two naxalites. The others managed to escape.
Fourteen kitbags, one revolver, a pistol, one 8 mm rifle, two tapancha and ammunition were recovered from the encounter spot, police said.
