Silver, Gold down on bearish global advice

Mumbai, May 20: Both the precious metals today closed lower with Silver ending at Rs 23.975, with a loss of Rs 55 per kg and Gold at Rs 12,560, down by Rs 10 per ten gm on increase in offers by local stockists in view of bearish advice from global markets, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said.

Following were the closing rates of spot silver and gold: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade : Rs 23,975 (24,030) Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 12,500 (12,515) Gold 99.9 purity pure gold : Rs 12,560 (12,570).
