Bihar: Farmer shot dead by miscreants

Samastipur, May 20: Armed miscreants shot dead a farmer and injured another person at Bathua village under Musri-Gharari police station area in the district.

Police said here today that one Kailash Prasad was going to attend a marriage party along with a relative late last night when the assailants fired indiscriminately, killing him on the spot and injuring his accomplice seriously.

The injured was rushed to a local hospital while the body was sent for post-mortem, police said, adding that the matter was being investigated.
