Brunei ruler to arrive in India today

New Delhi, May 20 : Ruler of Brunei Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'Lzzaddin Waddaulah will arrive here this evening on a four-day visit.

During his visit, Sultan Waddaullah will hold discussions with Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh on wide range of issues, particularly focussing on ways to enhance economic ties between the two countries.

The Brunei Sultan will also meet President Pratibha Patil, Vice President Hamid Ansari, Finance Minister P Chidambaram, UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Leader of Opposition L K Advani and Minister of State for External Affairs E Ahamed.

India and Brunei will sign four pacts, including Bilateral Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement (BIPPA).

Besides this, MoUs on information and communication technology, trade and economic cooperation and cooperation in the spheres of culture, arts, mass media and sports are expected to be signed.
