All party-meeting held

Hyderabad, May 20 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) I V Subba Rao today held an all-party meeting to ensure smooth conduct of byelecitons for the 18 Assembly and four Lok Sabha constituencies scheduled to be held on May 29.

Mr Rao sought the cooperation of all political parties to ensure free and fair elections by adhering to the model code of conduct in true spirit.

The political parties, including the Congress, TDP, TRS, BJP and the Lok Satta, assured their full cooperation.

However, TDP leaders complained to the Election Commission that Finance Minister K Rosaiah had violated the election code of conduct by making an announcement on essential commodities at a press conference yesterday.
