Two Pak and a Afghan national nabbed in Punjab
Ferozpur, May 19 (UNI) The Railway Protection Force (RPF) nabed two Pakistani and a Afghan national from the Cantonment railway station here yesterday.
RPF sources while confirming the arrests today stated that the three were taken into custody after they handed Pakistani currency notes to a vendor after having tea at the station. The vendor informed the RPF and the three were rounded up by the police.
Two SIM cards, a visiting card of a Lahore based doctor and around Rs 5000 in Pakistan currency were recovered from their possession. The three were identified as Daniel Jaffar, 18-year old son of an ex-serviceman, 17-year old Ashraf of Pakistan Punjab and Rameez, a 18-year old Afghan national.
On preliminary interrogation they claimed that they had crossed over into India to try their hand in Bollywood movies after meeting an eunuch of Kasur. Their ultimate destination was Mumbai, the three claimed.
The three had managed to sneak over into Indian territory on Saturday night after the retreat ceremony at the Hussianiwala border. The three were later arrested after registeration of a case by the Punjab Police.
However intelligence officials claimed that three could have crossed over for a specific motive as they were well aware of the security set up near the Hussianiwala border.
