Lahore, May 19 : Barhamdagh Khan Bugti, the grandson of Baloch nationalist leader Akbar Bugti, has reportedly rejected the Pakistan government's offer for talks, saying that the government's claims of providing relief to Balochistan were designed to secure an "honourable retreat for the defeated forces".

Speaking to the BBC, he claimed that around 10,000 Bugti tribesmen were living a miserable life in Afghanistan because of the military operation in Balochistan.

The resistance against the military operation was increasing, and the Baloch people would only be pacified by a full withdrawal of the military, the Daily Times quoted him as saying in the interview.

Replying to a question, he denied receiving any support from India or Afghanistan to fuel his movement.
