Issue white paper on SRTC finance:Cong
Bhopal, May 19 (UNI) The opposition Congress today alleged that the BJP government ''working under pressure from land and transport mafia'' was bent upon auctioning the immovable properties of Madhya Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation slated for winding up and to denationalise all routes.
In a statement here, leader of opposition in the Assembly Jamuna Devi demanded that the government should forthwith stop auction of all movable and immovable assets and issue a white paper on the assets and liabilities of the corporation.
She alleged that the BJP leaders had hatched a conspiracy to usurp the corporation's properties valued at about Rs 30,000 crore much ahead of the elections though the BJP in its poll manifesto had promised to strengthen the working of SRTC.
Charging that the government had ignored the interests of corporation employees, Ms Devi said the Supreme Court directive for payment of increased dearness allowance was not implemented yet.
