Similar technology used in Hyd, Jaipur blasts: Police
Hyderabad, May 18 (UNI) The way the bomb blasts were triggered on May 13 in Jaipur and on August 25, 2007, in Hyderabad showed that the terrorists were trained at the same place, before being ''deputed'' to the states by Harkat-ul-Jihad-e-Islami (HUJI), the suspected organisation behind the blasts, according to police sources here today.
A two-member special police team, which went to Jaipur to study the blasts, had came to a conclusion that there were many similiarities between the two blasts, in which they used timers and splinters to create maximum damage.
The sources said the technology used in the Hyderabad twin blasts and Jaipur blasts were seemingly ''same'' and was suspected to be developed by an expert team working with the HUJI.
However, the links between the Jaipur blasts and Hyderabad twin blasts were yet to be ascertained, the sources said, adding that the design of the bombs and the quantity of explosives used in the two blasts were the same.
The experts have prepared ''a new kind'' of explosives which suit to the conditions of the locality. The bombs, made in a compact size, were fit to go off at public places without raising doubts among the people, the sources said.
