Saints stand against terrorism; grand rally in Ayodhya tomorrow
Ayodhya, May 18 (UNI) Following the terrorist attack in the 'Pink City' on Tuesday, saints of the 'Ram Nagari' have decided to organise a 'maha sabha' tommorrow to protest the terrorist attacks.
The rally will be jointly conducted by the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) supporters and anti-VHP saints. However, the rally is also backed by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Akhil Bharatiya Akhada Parishad president Mahant Gyandas today said, ''It is meaningless to agitate in different groups against the 'national threat,' we will stand united against it.'' He said, though he is anti-VHP and does not even like to share place with the VHPs, however, he will join and actively participate in the 'battle against terrorism' with the VHPs tomorrow.
Earlier, on July 5, 2005, and 2007, terrorists had attacked the city and disrupted the peace prevailing here, they could again target the city, he added.
Meanwhile, BJP general secretary and MP Vinay Katiyar said all arrangements had been made for the grand rally.
He said saints of all the 13 'akhadas' will take part in the 'historical' rally.
