Rs 133 cr sewerage project for Srinagar starts
Srinagar, May 18 (UNI) Work on Rs 133 crore integrated sewerage system for the city started from today, an official spokesman said.
Under Jawahar Lal Nehru National Urban Reconstruction Mission, he said the area from Pandach to Soura will be covered in the first phase.
Highlighting the salient features of this comprehensive and integrated sewerage system, he said by implementation of this project apart from sewerage of drains and other kitchen wastes, the natural water resources can be preserved and protected from getting polluted besides sustaining the ecological balance.
