Novel protest against political violence
Kannur, May 18 (UNI) A mouth-organ maestro today staged a novel protest against political violence in Kannur district in Kerala by playing his musical instrument for about 24-hours continuously.
Abdulla Abdul Nazeer, who found a place in Guinness book of world records after playing the mouth organ continuously for about 101 hours, started his performance yesterday and concluded today morning.
He had played as many as 700 songs from Hindi, Malayalam and Tamil films and a patriotic song during his 24-hour-long ''yagna'', which was inaugurated by Thalassery Municipal Chairman K P Ravindran.
Many prominent political personalities, including state Transport Minister Mathew T Thomas and Janata Dal leader M P Veerendrakumar came to see his feat.
