Jammu, May 18 (UNI) Looking at the recent escalation in the militancy related incidents, Director General of Jammu and Kashmir Police, Kuldeep Khoda today stressed for close coordination among the security forces during the two-month long Shri Amarnath Yatra, starting June 18.
Mr Khoda took a detailed review of the overall security arrangements being made for the Shri Amarnath Yatra and the likely visits of the VVIPs to the state in the near future at a high level meeting here today.
He impressed upon the security agencies to ensure a close coordination at all levels for the best results.
The DGP asked the forces to remain vigilant to thwart any design of the anti-national elements and be ready to face any situation.
''The Jammu and Kashmir Police has always shown its mettle in difficult situations,'' Mr Khoda said, hoping the force will also prove best in tackling any situation in the future, as well.
He complemented the people for their whole-hearted support and cooperation to the police and security agencies in maintaining the law and order in the state.
