Eight people were killed after consuming illicit liquor
Kolar, Karnataka, May 18 (UNI) Eight people were killed and one more took to ill after consuming illicit liquor in two villages in the District today.
Additional Superintendent of Police Yellappa told UNI that while five deaths were reported from Narasapura village, 30 kmm from here, three deaths were in K G Tyakal village in Malur taluk of the District.
Injured was admitted to hospital.
Following the incident in Narasapur people resorted to Rasta Roko but they were pacified by Superintendent of Police Seemanth Kumar Singh and Mr Yellappa rushed to spot and pacified the agitators.
Now the situation is under control.
Mr Yellappa said that the bodies would be handedover after postmortem.
