DG orders raid on illicit liquor dens even as 8 killed in Kolar Dist
Bangalore, May 18 (UNI) Karnataka Director General and Inspector General of Police Srikumar today ordered immediate raids on illicit liquor dens in the State following death of 8 people in Kolar District today.
Stating that a suitable inquiry would be held into the incident taken place in Narasapur, where five people were killed, and in K G Tyakal Village in Malur Taluk in Kolar District, Mr Srikumar assured suitable compensation to the next kin of the deceased.
Following the DG order, police conducted raid in Bylenarasapura village in Hoskote Taluk from where allegedly duplicate liquor in various brand names were being supplied through out the State.
