Unidentified miscreants shoot dead two, including a CPI(M) leader

Samastipur, May 17 (UNI) Unidentified miscreants shot dead two people, including a CPI(M) leader and former block Pramukh, at Sakh Mohun village under Vibhutipur police station in the district.

Police said here today that CPI(M) leader Virender Prasad Singh and his associate Rambadan Singh were on thir way home after attending a marriage party in the village late last night when the assailants fired at them indiscriminately, killing the duo on the spot.

The miscreants also looted the licensed revolver of Mr Singh and fled from the site.

Police sealed all the exit routes and an investigation was launched.
