PM announces Nehru-Wangchuk scholarship for students from Bhutan
Thimphu, May 17 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today announced the institution of a Nehru-Wangchuk Scholarship for students from Bhutan.
The scholarship would "encourage students from Bhutan to study in leading Indian universities and institutions," he said addressing a joint session of the newly-elected Parliament of Bhutan.
Dr Singh is the first world leader to visit Bhutan after its transition to democracy in March.
