People run helter skelter before Sonia's Campaign begins
Hubli, May 17 (UNI) A tyre burst of a vehicle on the road leading to the venue where Congress Supremo Sonia Gandhi was to address an election rally, forced the people run helter skelter fearing it to be a bomb explosion.
With last Saturday explosion in the Court Hall being fresh in the minds of the people, the burst caught them unaware and they started running for cover.
Ms Gandhi, who spoke for over 20 minutes at the rally came down the stage and shook hands with women workers and waved at the crowds before getting into her car.
She introduced her party candidates of the third phase election on May 22 to the people. The candidates first bowed before Ms Gandhi and then turned towards crowd to salute.
Former chief minister S M Krishna, Vailar Ravi, Pritviraj Chavan and H K Patil accompanied Ms Gandhi at the rally.
