Centre responsible for increase in terrorism: Chouhan
Barwani, MP, May 17 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today held the lax attitude of the Centre responsible for the menace of terrorism spreading its tentacles across the country.
Mr Chouhan made the statement while replying to a question on the Jaipur blasts by reporters, when returning in a helipad from the 'Panch Sarpanch' convention at Kalgon in Anjad assembly segment in this district.
He also said the Centre scrapped the Prevention of Terrorism Act (POTA) as a part of its vote bank politics.
''Not formulating a strict legislation by the Centre to deal with terrorism is encouraging terrorism in the country. The Madhya Pradesh Government had passed a legislation to control terrorism and sent it for approval to the Centre. However, it has not granted its approval so far,'' he added.
