BSNL launches bundling scheme with LG Electronics

Thiruvananthapuram, May 17 (UNI) Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) Kerala Circle, has launched bundling scheme with LG electronics India Ltd, which provides LG handsets with BSNL mobile connections in attractive offers.

The scheme, which is valid for 15 months from the date of activation, will provide the customers free-talk-time worth Rs 100 per month, Chief General Manager Telecom (Kerala) Circle K S Sreenivasan said while addressing a press conference yesterday.

The package will be available both in post-paid and pre-paid categories, he added.

The scheme will be converted to general pre-paid scheme after the expiry of 15 months or to any other pre-paid scheme desired by the customer. For post-paid connections, the bill charges will be adjusted for the call charges.

Mr Sreenivasan said the handset bundling scheme is aimed at lower segments of the people who could get a reliable branded handset.

The KG-276 and KG-271 are the two LG mobile sets that will be provided to the customers in the scheme.

On the Telecom State Circle, he said it aims at giving about one million mobile connections this year. There is also a target of providing five-lakh broadband connections, which now stood at 3.5 lakh, he added.
