Veteran Cong leader Henry Austin dead
Thiruvananthapuram, May 16 (UNI) Former Union Minister and veteran Congress leader Henry Austin died here yesterday.
He was 88. The body has been kept at Indira Bhavan, Headquarters of the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) here.
The body will be taken to Kochi, where the funeral would take place in the evening.
Austin held the portfolio of Food and Civil Supplies, Independent Charge with the rank of a State Minister, in the Charan Singh government.
Austin won from the Ernakulam Lok Sabha Constituency in 1971 and 1977 and also served as Ambassador to Portugal.
