Two get life term in kidnapping case

Patna, May 16: Additional District and Sessions Judge B M Srivastav today awarded life imprisonment to two people in a kidnapping case.

The court also slapped a fine of Rs 2000 on each of the convict.

Rajan Dubey and Rahul Dubey were convicted for kidnapping one Uttam Kumar, a medical repesentative, for ransom.

According to the charges, the convicts kidnapped Kumar from Buddha colony locality here in May 2003 and demanded a ransom of Rs five lakhs.

However, he was rescued by the police soon.
