One killed, one injured in air-condition explosion
Mumbai, May 16 (UNI) One person was killed and another injured when an air-condition machine exploded, at the All Indian Radio centre compound in Malad, a western suburb here.
The incident occurred yesterday, when the air-condition machine was being repaired, police said here today.
Police has arrested H B Konkane (41), who had the contract of repairing the air-conditions. The deceased Pundalik Namdeo Shingade (42), and injured Gajanand Shahaji Shelar (32) were working as air-conditioner mechanics with him.
Shelar has been admitted to Bhagwati Hospital at Borivali.
Konkane has been arrested for not taking adequate safety measures and providing safety kits to the employees, police added.
