Haryana to construct 1000 houses for BPL families

Bhiwani, May 16 (UNI) Under the Ashiana scheme, Zila Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran will construct 1000 pucca houses at block Bawani Khera for below poverty line (BPL) families.

This was stated by Bhiwani Deputy Commissioner T L Satyaprakash while interacting with mediapersons here yesterday.

The Deputy Commissioner said that proposal had been sent to the government after the identification of land at block Bawani Khera. Similarly, 1000 houses would also be constructed in Bhiwani and Dadri under the Slums Development Scheme.

To cope with the shortage of potable water supply during the summer season in the district, he said that a proposal to set up a new water works had already been sent and the same would be approved in a short span of time. To ensure sufficient potable water supply to the people, new tubewells would also be set up at Bawani Khera and Tosham.

Mr Satyaprakash said that to educate each and every child in the district, a special campaign had been initiated by the district administration. Under this, efforts were on for re-admission of more than 8000 children who dropped from the school.

He said that the admission of about 4000 children had been ensured so far and the remaining would be re-admitted in one month.
