Controversial Swami hospitalised
Thrissur, May 16 (UNI) Controversial Swami Amritachaitanya alias Santosh Madhavan, arrested by the Kerala Police Tuesday on charges of rape of a minor girl and cheating, was today admitted to the Medical College Hospital here following ''chest pain.'' Hospital sources said Madhavan was referred to the Thrissur Medical College from the Ernakulam General Hospital, where he was admitted first.
He was initially admitted to the Cardiology ICU this evening and later shifted to a ward amid tight security.
''His condition is stable and is improving,'' the sources said.
Madhavan (35) was arrested in Kochi on May 13 on charges of raping a minor girl, making pornographic films and cheating a Dubai-based Keralite woman of Rs 40 lakh.
