BJP will come to power in K'taka: Rajnath

Hubli, May 16 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party will come to power in Karnataka with a thumping majority as 'BJP-wave'' is sweeping and Mr B S Yeddiyurappa will be the next Chief Minister, Party President Rajnath Singh claimed today.

Talking to reporters here, Mr Singh said the BJP, a front-runner among all parties in the state would further widen its base after the final phase of polls.

Stating that the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre had ''failed'' on all fronts, he said prices of foodgrains and essential commodities have skyrocketed with inflation reaching an all-time high of 7.83 per cent.

Referring to Tuesday's terror strikes in Jaipur, Mr Singh said it was due to the UPA government withdrawing POTA and TADA.

Replying to a question, he said the BJP was not against minorities. Its policy is ''justice to all and appeasement to none.'' ''The Sachar committee report will not be implemented and the Congress is playing vote bank policies with minorities,'' he added.
