Akhand supports creation of separate Bundelkhand state

Ashoknagar, MP, May 16 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Food and Civil Supplies Minister Akhand Pratap Singh today supported creation of a separate Bundelkhand state.

Mr Singh told reporters here that better development of the Bundelkhand region -- which is regarded as backward -- was possible when it comes into existence as a separate state.

''No development of the region is taking place,'' he said, adding that region faced drought frequently.
