2 killed, several injured in Power House fire in Kerala
Pathanamthitta, May 16 (UNI) Two people were killed and eight suffered burn injuries in a fire at the Muzhiyar Power House today.
Anil and Shibu Philip, assistant engineers with the Kerala State Electricity Board, died of burn injuries and two other assistant engineers -- Murali and Clement - were admitted to the Kottayam Medical College Hospital with severe burn injuries, sources said.
Six others who suffered burn injuries were admitted to the Pathanamthitta General Hospital.
The accident occurred in the fourth generator of the powerhouse, they said. Meanwhile, power generation had been stopped for the time being.
