Silver ends cheaper, gold costlier
Mumbai, May 15 (UNI) A mixed trend was today witnessed in precious metals as Silver closed lower at Rs 23,470 per kg with a loss of Rs 85, mainly due to weak global advice, even as Gold ended firm at Rs 11,915 per ten gm with gain of Rs 45 per ten gm, on brisk marriage seasonal demand, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said.
Following were the closing rates of spot silver and gold: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade : Rs 23,470 (23,555) Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 11,915 (11,870) Gold 99.9 purity pure gold : Rs 11,970 (12,930).
