Sarkozy writes to Manmohan, condemns Jaipur blasts
New Delhi, May 15 (UNI) French President Nikolas Sarkozy today wrote to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, condemning the Jaipur serial blasts as ''barbaric'', and expressed his country's support in the fight against ''the scourage of terrorism''.
''On the morrow of the blasts that have so painfully plunged the city of Jaipur, Rajasthan, in mourning, I wished to express to you, on my behalf and that of France, my deepest condolences,'' Mr Sarkozy said in a signed letter.
He said France most firmly condemned ''this barbaric and despicable act''.
''I would like to express the solidarity of my country in the ordeal that you are suffering,'' he said.
''France remains by your side in the fight against the scourge of terrorism,'' said the letter, the copy of which was made available by the French Embassy here.
