Reference rate at Rs 42.40 per USD

Mumbai, May 15 (UNI) Reserve Bank of India today fixed the reference rate for US Dollar at Rs 42.40, seven paise higher from previous day's rate of Rs 42.33 per USD.

The exchange rates for Pound and Japanese Yen against the Rupee were quoted higher at Rs 82.5761 (82.3170) per Pound and Rs 40.51 (40.36) per 100 units respectively, as per data received from Reserve Bank of India.
