Naxal kill Head Master and a Lecturer

Udupi, Karnataka, May 15 (UNI) A Head Master and a Lecturer were killed by Naxalites even as Karnataka goes for second phase polls tomorrow.

Inspector General of Police (Western Range) A M Prasad told UNI that CPI(Maoists) Naxals shot dead Head Master of a School Boja Shetty point blank, while lecturer Suresh Shetty (both of Nadpal Village, about 50 km from here) succumbed to bullet injuries on the way to hospital.

About six naxalites barged into the house of Bhoja Shetty and Suresh Shetty without any provocation.

Incidentally, a group of naxals had entered the house of Shetty some time ago and had threatened them and before going back smashed household articles like TV and other equipment.

Anti Naxal Squad rushed to the village and began combing operations.
