HP to bring Meha-Neri Road under central scheme

Shimla, May 15 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh PWD Minister Thakur Gulab Singh today said a detailed project report would be prepared soon to include Meha-Neri Road of Theog Sub Division in Shimla distict under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna or NABARD.

He was speaking to members of a deputation of BJP Kisan Morcha Theog Mandal and Gram Panchayat Deothi who called on him here today.

The deputation, which was headed by Inder Singh Damseth, General Secretary, BJP Kisan Morcha, Theog Mandal, requested the Minister to connect the road to main Chopal road via Neri Balsan which would facilitate many people of Deothi, Padgaya, Dhogna and Bagdi Gram Panchayats.

It informed that the people of the area had to travel 50 to 60 km to reach Chopal and with the construction of this road the distance would reduce.

Mr Singh directed the officers concerned to prepare a detailed project report of the proposed road soon so that the project could be sent to NABARD or Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna for funding.
