Ex-accountant of CID sent to jail

Patna, May 15 (UNI) A local court today remanded a former accountant of the Criminal Investigation Department(CID) of Bihar, to judicial custody, till May 28, in a case related to misapropriation of public fund.

During the day, former accountant Lala Ajay Kumar Sinha was produced before Chief Judicial Magistrate of Patna R K Singh, who sent him to judicial custody.

Sinha was arrested from New Delhi and by an order of the Shahdara court in the national capital, he was produced here.

The case was related to the fraudulant withdrawal of over Rs nine lakh from the head of the salary payment of employees of the Dog squad.

The FIR was registered in 2003, but the accused was evading arrest since then.
