Ex accountant of CID sent to jail

Patna, May 15 (UNI) Chief Judicial Magistrate of Patna R K Singh today remanded Lala Ajay Kumar Sinha, a former accountant of Criminal Investigation Department(CID) of Bihar, to judicial custody in a case related to misapropriation of public fund.

During the day, Mr Sinha was produced before the local court which sent him to judicial custody till May 28.

Sinha was arrested from New Delhi and by an order of the Shahdara court in the national Capital he was produced here today.

The case was related to the fraudulant withdrawal of over Rs nine lakh from the head of the salary payment of employees of the Dog squad.

The FIR was registered in 2003 and the accused was evading arrest sine then.
