Dish TV announces set-top-box free

Kolkata, May 15 (UNI) Dish TV, one of the country's premiere Direct-to-Home (DTH) companies, today announced to provide set-top-box (STB) free to its consumers.

Talking to mediapersons here, Mr Anindya Sengupta, DVP Sales (East), Dish TV, said under this offer the customer would get the box free by paying a year's maximum subscription and installation/activation charges.

Mr Sengupta said in addition to the free STB, the customer would also enjoy 67 free movies on MOD worth Rs 3990, equivalent to the entire value invested by him initially.

''This unique offer from Dish TV will ensure that every home across the nation will enjoy the best in digital equipment with over 185 channels and a host of value added services like movies, sports, news and gaming services, '' Mr Sengupta observed.

He said with the demand for digital entertainment sweeping across the country and huge aspiration to own a personal dish, the new offer broke all barriers for adoption and made it very easy for new users to embrace the new-age technology.

'' The broadcaster community is happy to be on the country's largest DTH platform, as is evident from the readiness of many new channels to pay carriage fee in order to be available to the three million subscriber base of Dish TV, '' Mr Sengupta said.
