CPI(M) demands inquiry into land allotment
Kakinada, May 15 (UNI) Strongly objecting the allotment of Kakinada port land to 'non-port users and non-locals', CPI(M) District Secretary Dadala Subbarao today demanded a detailed inquiry into the whole gamut of land allotment.
Addressing a press conference here, he questioned the propriety in allotting mere 20 acres land, at two acres each to local shipping agents and huge chunks of land to non-locals.
He alleged that the local port-based industries such as Godavari Fertilizers and Nagarjuna Fertilizers were denied land allotment for their industries' expansion.
He demanded that the government should explain as to why GMR industrial house was allotted 57 acres land for floating power plant and also the other 220 acres to other corporate companies .
