CPCL Q4 net up 81.8% at Rs 343.92 cr

New Delhi, May 15 (UNI) Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd (CPCL) today said its net profit for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2008 increased 81.8 per cent to Rs 343.92 crore as compared to Rs 189.09 crore for the corresponding quarter last year.

The company said in a statement that its total income for Q4FY08 grew 45.28 per cent to Rs 8,366.73 crore from Rs 5,758.99 crore in the same quarter a year ago.

CPCL's net profit for the year ended March 31, 2008 stood at Rs 1122.95 crore as compared to Rs 565.27 crore for the year ended March 31, 2007, a jump of 98.6 per cent.

Its FY08 total income grew 13.68 per cent to Rs 28,147.07 crore from Rs 24,758.78 crore last fiscal.

CPCL also declared an interim dividend of 50 per cent and recommended a final Dividend of 120 per cent on the paid-up equity share capital, fixing May 31 as the record date.
